CCP = teh awesome

Seriously, how effing cool would can it possibly get other than working with this team?
PLEASE tell me the "Techno Viking" reference @ 1:50 made you fall off your chair.

Read the lyrics on utube only if you're into EXTREMELY nerdy stuff, and even so I assure you you won't get half the stuff they talk about.

On a side note, this is Techno Viking, my hero - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1nzEFMjkI4
Dude haz teh skillz, dude has teh moves, dude is teh awesome. And I can assure you raving on combat boots HAS to be some sort of masochistic deviance. Not for those who are unaware of what they're getting into but he surely must know, like I said, dude has teh moves.

EDIT: Just noticed myself the "Daihatsu 'my shit' pimp action" reviewing this post and seriously ... LOL!

Internet space games are serious business.

Mais uma a juntar à colecção.

Desta vez, mais uma digital. "Rendi-me" finalmente às SLR digitais.

Raínha do Surf

  • Apr. 26th, 2009 at 10:34 PM
Saw this billboard add all over the city and following the initial impact such billboards have on any given male a few details finally caught my eye and I found it truly hilarious, I mean...is it just me or is this the most sexist thing you've seen in ages? I mean, Queen of Surf (Raínha do Surf), a gorgeous chick with nothing on but lingerie...and....wait for it.....AN IRONING BOARD. Get it? LOL! I bet she gets tired after all that "laundry surfing".

Weirdest dream ever.

  • Mar. 30th, 2009 at 10:05 AM

Had this dream last night that made me wake up in a somewhat abrupt way and the weird part is that I rarely remember any of my dreams, especially when they 'happen' in the middle of the night and I go back to sleep a short while after. This one though, I can remember *very* vividly .

So..it all starts for some reason while I'm riding a bus, which I don't do that often these days, with for what I can remember this girl who I really care for but doesn't exist on real life. The bus is going along the road to the place where I live, about 700 meters still to my place, when suddenly something happens and we crash into a roundabout and later into a wall, huge accident. Next thing I know, I'm unharmed and carrying the girl out of the bus unto a lawn outside and get her do lie down...then I realize she's been badly injured in the back of her head, blood everywhere and something tells me she won't make it and I can remember trying to calm her down while she mumbles something I can't quite understand.

Shortly after, I get a good look around me and it's like I'm in a warzone. Street kids, no more than 15 years old, are firing handguns at each other and everyone starts looking for cover. Now...my neighbourhood is quite easy going, middle class families with their kids kind of thing going on around the place and there's absolutely no such thing as gangs or the likes around. I never felt at harm's way while walking in the streets alone where I live, even late at night.

It all gets cloudy at this part, but next thing I know I'm inside a bus again..not sure if it's the same..going up the road up to my place after the roundabout, I look around and all I see are kids firing at each other. As we get near my house it seems to calm down and I ask the driver if he could please stop the bus and let me out, which he does. I get out and go inside my building.

The next weird part made me remember this has happened before a lot in my dreams, I just couldn't remember it. It's the elevator part. I get inside the elevator, push my floor's button and it's like the elevator is broken and doesn't stop where it's supposed to. It goes up a LOT more floors than it's supposed to, even though my building just has 5 floors I can see clear as day that I'm on the 50th something floor or something like that and making seriously weird noises like twisting metal. That creeps me out a bit. Ok, that creeps me out a lot actually but I can't remember anything in real life that could be a precursor factor triggering this event. I've never got stuck on elevators or the likes, it's always been a pleasant ride. And then...I'm on my floor.

I don't know at what point this happens, but somewhere in the next event I realize it's all just a dream and I'm about to wake up. The weird part about it is that even though I know it's a dream, I can't control it.

As I reach out for my keys in my pocket I look at my keylock and it's got this electronic sci fi thingie covering the lock itself and of course....the keys don't work. I knock on the door and hear my mom asking who is it, I answer back and hear her opening the lock. Next thing I know, she looks at me..says "I'm sorry for this, hang tight" and proceeds to raise a gun and shoot me 3-4 times in the chest. Now, she doesn't say anything related to why she did it but I have a clear notion it has something to do with clearing me out of something I've done, like trying to create an alibi of some sorts. It's not evil intended, it's actually an act of love...as twisted as this may seem.

Then I wake up.

As startled as I was I could vividly remember everything as far back as the bus scene, this never happens when I wake up from a dream. I usually just remember bits and pieces and forget them a short while after. If I go back to sleep, I tend to not remember them at all.

Why the crap do I remember all this? And why the crap did I leave the girl dying on that lawn and fled on that bus? Did she even eventually die while I was beside her? I think she did, but I'm not sure. Can't remember. And why are streets kids at war in my neighbourhood? Why the recurrent broken elevator dreams? I can't relate any of this to triggering real life events.

I guess I've been watching too many movies, right?

Freakiest thing you'll ever see.

Saw these cartoons a while back and I just watched them again, they are still as freaky and wildly insane as when I saw them for the first time. I can't even conceive a sane mind designing and screenwriting this kind of stuff. Seriously.

Check http://www.fat-pie.com/salad.htm and watch all episodes for a full effect. This guy is either a genious or a VERY disturbed mind.

Update: Ok, just checked a few other cartoons by the same guy, WHAT THE HELL?! http://www.fat-pie.com/dogofman.htm

Seriously. What the hell?... I can't stop watching this, that's the weird part about it. On top of that, they have a podcast! Sick twisted humor with a brit accent & they quote the league of gentlemen as a source of inspiration, can't go wrong with that. Podcast @ http://www.fat-pie.com/podcast.htm

The Kill Point

  • Feb. 24th, 2009 at 9:48 PM
A friend said he'd been watching this great tv show named The Kill Point and I thought of giving it a go. It turns out it's pretty good. The plotline is somewhat 'cheesy' but the acting and the actual plot is quite enticing, I'd recommend it for any of you looking for new stuff to watch.

Novelist Pratchett becomes a Sir

Took them long enough. My fav author is now a Sir! I just hope his medical condition won't keep him from writing "one, two...lots!" more books. Sometimes I wonder what will happen when I run out of new (at least to me) Pratchett material. Armageddon? A space time continuum disruption? Who knows?!

A few movie reviews

  • Feb. 19th, 2009 at 3:32 PM
City of Ember - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0970411/

Loved the steampunk setting but all in all it's a movie where I couldn't stop thinking of what it could've been with some better writing. Possibly the movie's cachet could've been better spent on some sort of animation following the guidelines in the book and creative screenplay writers. Still, it got me somewhat interested in reading the book. I highly recommend it though, good times.

The Day The Earth Stood Still - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0970416/

Don't bother. This movie is another great example where money is spent on special effects with serious drawbacks on the story side. It's full of stuff that doesn't make sense and although I haven't seen the original 50's movie I doubt it had such a poor background story.

Dead Like Me: Life After Death - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1079444/

While watching it I kept thinking it reminded me of something I saw sometime before and I was right, this movie brings closure (I think?) to a 2003 tv series named Dead Like Me (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0348913/). I vaguely remember watching an episode a while ago on tv. This probably explains the reason why I felt the movie was made exactly like a tv show and not really as a movie. It's not a great movie, but still fun to watch in a relaxed sunday afternoon kind of way. Make sure to see it only if you don't have any other movies you think worth seeing queued.

And I want to make up for the time I don't waste playing videogames and watching movies or tv shows.
What in your opinion would be the perfect movie/show/game for me to, in fact, waste time with?

Also, I need a Symbian app that blocks unwanted calls. Any advice?

Here's something funnay (and appropriate?) for you lot, hope you like it.
